Halcyon Response is led by Dr. Daniel Friedman, a board-certified Emergency Physician with fellowship training in EMS, disaster response, tactical medicine, and extensive experience as a paramedic and EMS educator. His career spans frontline emergency care, disaster coordination, medical education, and tactical medical operations—bringing physician-led expertise to high-stakes environments.
He is joined by Sergeant Christopher Pastor with state law enforcement, a SWAT certified and experienced K9 officer and trainer, and a leader in high-risk operations, tactical response, and advanced canine deployment.
Together, they combine medical mastery with tactical precision to deliver presidential-level preparedness for estates, yachts, and private aviation. Their mission is simple: ensuring safety, security, and confidence for the world’s most discerning clients

Dr. Daniel Friedman is a board-certified Emergency Physician with fellowship training in EMS, disaster response, and tactical medicine. His career spans service in ocean rescue, helicopter-based emergency response, academic leadership at Weill Cornell, and current practice as an attending physician and EMS Medical Director.
Sergeant Christopher Pastor is a veteran New Jersey State Trooper serving with the NJSP Canine Response & Training Unit. With more than 15 years of tactical operations, K9 training, and law enforcement leadership, he brings unparalleled expertise in high-threat response, canine integration, and security readiness.
Together, Dr. Friedman and Sergeant Pastor provide a rare combination of clinical mastery and tactical strength, ensuring that every Halcyon Response client benefits from the quiet luxury of being fully prepared.
The word Halcyon comes from ancient Greek mythology, where a kingfisher bird was said to calm the seas during storms so it could nest in peace. Over time, Halcyon has come to mean peaceful, prosperous, and flourishing—a symbol of calm in the midst of turbulence.
